How many times can I appeal dropped financial aid?

My academic performance was not satisfactory my first semester of college. One of my friends from high school died from suicide and I lost a friend to drug use. To say the least, my grades were terrible and my financial aid was dropped, but I managed to get the appeal and have it reinstated. However, the first semester of my second year was rough as well and I am almost positive my financial aid will be dropped again. Is there ANY way that I will be able to have it appealed successfully a second time? Are there any tips someone can offer to raise my chances of reinstatement? Or is there no hope for me? HELP PLEASE!
