Red splotchy patches on body?

Okay, so every once in a while I will notice that my chest gets these splotchy red areas on them or my arms and shoulders and tonight i noticed my thighs directly next to each other in the same spot are splotchy. I noticed when i drank sangria my chest got splotchy one night BUT it does it when I am sober from time to time and tonight its my legs and i drank beer... and it hasn't always been this way I have never had issues with drinking and this happening up until about 5 months ago. they dont itch or hurt i just think its weird. I have been told its anxiety hives? but I get them when I am not stressed sometimes on my chest and arms. can somebody help me out here?
