Bipolar bf/ DMT trip?

My boyfriend is bipolar 1. He was more likely to develop it because his dad, grandmother and sister all have it. He was not like this until he took DMT and LSD. Is this something that is going to stay with him for life or will it go away? He's completely crazy when he is not taking his meds and the Dr. is constantly having to up his med dosages...IT TAKES HIM 2 AMBEIN to go to sleep most nights...1 knocks me on my for like 12 hours. He also takes 60MG of Geodon daily...
