How long can Obama keep the lid on his plethora of anti-American mentors and backers?

Besides the downplaying, indignation, and avoidance, what other ways can Obama use to keep the media and American trail from questioning his significant relationships. How will he justify spending years and years with frequent contact, business dealings and mutual efforts as not having any affect on his beliefs anad future acts.
